We believe that one of the primary ways that God often works in a person's life is through small groups. We offer many different small groups throughout the week at different times on many different subjects. Small groups:
Our church offers a great variety of exciting options, with more being added regularly. No one can do it all. So how should you choose? First, pray about it. Then, remember that for dynamic, well-balanced spiritual growth you need to commit to doing the following basic things:
Sunday Worship Attendance: At least one hour a week glorifying and praising God together in the larger congregation. Hearing the preaching of the Word of God and the inspiration that comes through music and celebrative worship are indispensable.
Small Group Participation: At least one to one and a half hours a week in a more intimate, personal setting - weekday setting, caring cluster, task group, prayer cell, etc. It's imperative. Here you can focus on your own special needs and interests, develop warm Christian friendships and experience the wonderful, loving support that naturally generates in such fellowship.
Personal Service Project: At least one weekly involvement where you use your spiritual gifts, time and talents for the glory of God and the benefit of others. It's critical. Jesus expects it and opportunities for volunteering are abundant. For help in this area, contact Pastor Lew Wilder.
Personal Quiet Time: Some quality breaks in your routine each week when you are alone, in seclusion with God, cultivating your relationship with Him through the reading of His Word and prayer. This, too, is fundamental.
Focused Family Time: Sufficient intervals each week devoted to the development of your relationships at home with your spouse and children, to assure the building of a strong and vibrant Christian family. What could be more crucial?
