Music Ministry
Singing Groups
These groups range from three-year-olds to senior adults.
| Children's Music Programs |  Includes the Wee Cherubs, Cherubs, SonShine Singers, Kids for Christ, Kingdom Kids, ORFF and Movement and Dance, with children age 3 through 6th grade. These choirs are described on the Children's Ministry (Wednesday Nights) page. These groups do not meet during the summer. |
| 'ALYVE" (Youth Vocal Ensemble) |
ALYVE ("Amazing Love Youth Vocal Ensemble") is for youth in grades 9-12. This group sings occasionally for worship and many times combines with the Chancel Choir for larger programs. Rehearsal is on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Directed by our music minister, Larry Lord. This group does not meet during the summer. |
| Center Stage |  Center Stage is a youth drama, dance and singing group for middle school ages. This group performs occasionally for worship as well as other seasonal events. Rehearsals are on Wednesday’s from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Music Suite. Directed by Shirley Andrews and Dee Dee Smith.
This group does not meet during the summer. |
| The Chancel Choir |  This is the primary Music ministry group of our Traditional worship setting, providing music regularly for both the 8:15 and 11:00 Worship Services. This group also provides extensive seasonal music for the Church and community. This Choir is under the direction of Larry Lord. It is open to all that enjoy singing and have the desire to serve the Lord through choral music. Chancel Choir rehearsal is regularly 7:00 to 8:30 on Wednesday nights in the Sanctuary Choir Loft. |
| The Wesleyan Singers |  A select, adult vocal ensemble, the Wesleyan Singers form an extension of the Chancel Choir. The size of this group ranges from 16 to 18 voices most of the time. This group sings occasionally for worship services, does several small Concerts throughout the year, and does some off-site singing, representing our Church with a very high caliber of music. This group has been formed in an effort to put selected voices together that can blend well, learn music quickly, perform expressively, and be able to minister in smaller settings, both within our church and in other locations. This group regularly meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Suite, under the direction of Larry Lord. This group does not meet during the summer. |
| The Mature Methodist Choir |  The Mature Methodist (M&M) Choir is a group under the direction of Debbie Moss and meets on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. in the Music Suite. (Note: 3:00 p.m. October-December). It is comprised of “seniors” age 50-ish and up. For more information on this choir, call Larry Lord, Minister of Music, at 678-4411, ext. 117. |
